JOPLIN, Mo. —
The annual Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce Business Expo kicked off at noon today in the John Q. Hammons Convention Center, celebrating the theme “The Roaring ‘20s.”. Held annually for more than two decades, this year’s expo features more than 200 exhibitors.
Today, the exhibitor showcase is open to business members only. The expo also will feature a Business After Hours event at 5 p.m. and silent auction at 7 p.m.
Tomorrow, the expo will open to the public at 10 a.m. and feature an exhibitor showcase until 6 p.m. Special guest Barry Williams, the actor best known as Greg Brady, is expected to be available to visit with guests in the lobby.
Admission to business members today is a business card, while admission to the public Wednesday is $5 per person, while children ages five and younger are free.
