BRANSON, Mo. —
Branson city officials have told organizers of an outdoor concert featurig the rapper Nelly to move theevent inside the Grand Palace because of concerns over parking and noise.
The Springfield News-Leader reports that Branson officials denied a special permit for the planned open-air concert on Aug. 21 to reopen the Grand Palace.
They said the venue does not have adequate parking for an outdoor event, and nearby businesses were concerned about noise. Concert promoters also failed to submit all the required paperwork.
Stephen Lind, an event organizer, says the show will be moved inside the Grand Palace. Ticket sales are scheduled to begin Monday.
The Grand Palace is reopening after being closed for renovations.
