A Carthage woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 5:48 p.m. Wednesday on U.S. Highway 71, four miles north of Neosho in Newton County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Michelle R. Branson, 20, was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the state patrol said.
Branson was driving a southbound car and slowing for hazardous conditions when a southbound car driven by Dewey W. Bowerman, 68, of Neosho, ran into her vehicle from behind, the patrol said.
