A Reeds man is facing a felony charge of unlawful use of a weapon in connection with an incident Thursday at Murphy’s Irish Pub at 2214 S. Main St. in Joplin.

Police were called to the bar at 12:08 a.m. in reference to a disturbance. Cpl. Chuck Niess of the Joplin Police Department said a man who had been kicked out of the bar was wielding a knife while attempting to get back inside.

Niess said that Freddie S. Garrison, 32, was arrested, and charged with misdemeanor trespassing and the felony weapon charge. No one was injured in the incident, he said.
