Felony charges filed against Webb City, Joplin men in drug case

Felony drug-dealing charges have been filed against a Webb City resident and a Joplin man in the wake of search warrants served at their homes on Tuesday.

The Jasper County Drug Task Force served search warrants at Apartment 5 of 1104  W. Crow St. in Webb City and at 820 W. Fifth St. in Joplin.

David P. Browning, 35, was arrested at the Webb City address and charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver. Sterling L. Brown, 59, was arrested in connection with the search at the Joplin address. He also was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

The task force did not disclose the amounts of drugs seized at either address. The special weapons and tactics team of the Webb City Police Department assisted task force officers in serving the warrant in Webb City.
