Police say man with stab wounds taken to hospital

Joplin police responded to a Saturday afternoon report of a man at car wash bleeding from apparent stab wounds.

Lt. Brian Lewis said officers located Arthur F. Price, 39, at the In & Out Car Wash at 3040 E. Seventh St. with cuts on the back of an arm and on one of his forearms.

Lewis said Price told officers that he had blacked out and did not know how he sustained the cuts.

Lewis said Price’s injuries were serious and appeared to be stab wounds. He was taken to a hospital.

The case remains under investigation as a possible assault, Lewis said.
