Weir man jailed on drug charges after home raid

WEIR, Kan. — Sheriff’s deputies and drug task force agents on Friday raided a Weir home and arrested a 52-year-old man on suspicion of manufacturing methamphetamine and related charges.

The Cherokee County sheriff’s office and Southeast Kansas Drug Enforcement Task Force served a warrant at 411 W. Oak St. after a long investigation focused on the suspect, Albert “Eddie” Taylor III. Chemicals and equipment used in the manufacture of meth were seized, the sheriff’s office said.

Taylor was being held without bond at the Crawford County Jail on suspicion of manufacturing the drug, possession of precursor chemicals with intent to manufacture meth, possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.
