Frontenac man hurt in accident



A Frontenac, Kan., man was injured in a motorcycle accident at 7:03 p.m. Monday on South 200th Street at Kansas Highway 126, north of Pittsburg, according to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department.

Ben R. Coomes, 49, was taken by ambulance to Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, the department said.

Coomes, who was going north, lost control of the motorcycle on wet pavement while avoiding a small animal is his path, according to the department.
