Duenweg man accused of sexually exploiting a child

A Duenweg man has been charged in federal court with sexually exploiting a 4-year-old child to produce pornographic images.

The criminal complaint against Tony Lasiter, 31, was filed Thursday in U.S. District Court in Springfield.

A probable-cause affidavit filed with the complaint states that Lasiter used his cell phone to take nude photos of a 4-year-old girl while she was in a bathtub and while she was lying on a bed with someone touching her in a sexual manner.

The defendant subsequently downloaded the photos to his laptop computer and transferred them to a digital memory card. The girl’s father noticed the card in the computer on Wednesday and opened the files.

Law enforcement was contacted at that point and the case was investigated by Duenweg and Sarcoxie police, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department and the Southwest Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Homeland Security Investigations.
