Woman tells police man exposed himself to her at business

A Joplin postal worker is being investigated for having exposed himself to a female employee of a business on his delivery route.

Police were called Thursday afternoon about an incident that had taken place about 12:45 p.m.

The employee told police that a letter carrier, who was making some advances toward her in recent days, exposed himself to her while making his rounds on Thursday.

Police Lt. Matt Stewart said the woman’s complaint remained under investigation Friday as a possible misdemeanor offense of sexual misconduct. He said the Joplin post office was aware of the complaint and that the carrier had been removed from his route while the matter is under investigation.

No arrest had been reported by late Friday afternoon.
