Carl Junction woman hurt in accident in Airport Drive

A Carl Junction woman was injured in a three-vehicle accident at 5:10 p.m. Wednesday on Missouri Highway 171 in Airport Drive, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Erin L. Hills, 33, was taken by ambulance to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the state patrol said.

Hills was driving an eastbound car that was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by Timothy L. Anderson, 39, of Joplin, when a pickup truck driven by Mark W. Shallenburger, 53, of Riverton, Kan., ran into the rear of Anderson’s vehicle, the patrol said.
