Anderson man hurt in accident on Highway 43

An Anderson man was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday on Missouri Highway 43, four miles north of Southwest City, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Oliver S. Schnyder, 42, driver of the car, suffered moderate injuries.

He was taken to Freeman Neosho Hospital.

The patrol said the northbound vehicle ran off the road, struck a tree and overturned.

• A Granby woman was injured in a motorcycle accident at 8:02 p.m. Tuesday on Missouri Highway 90, four miles east of Jane, the patrol said.

Janet L. Davis, 59, the motorcyclist, suffered moderate injuries.

She was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin.

The patrol said Davis, who was going west, put the motorcycle down on its side on the pavement to avoid a stopped vehicle.
