Neosho teen killed in I-49 accident

NEOSHO, Mo. — A 13-year-old Neosho girl was killed and three other people were seriously injured in a one-vehicle accident at 11 p.m. Saturday one-tenth of a mile north of Neosho on Interstate 49, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Daniel  Craig, 32, Goodman, was driving northbound when he lost control on a slick road, ran off the road and overturned, the patrol reported.

A passenger, Cerea Reed, 13, was taken to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, where she was later pronounced dead, the patrol reported.

Craig also was taken to Freeman with serious injures, as were two other passengers, Abigail Lester, 14, and Jennifer Lester, 36, both of Neosho, according to the patrol.
