Burglar steals ATM from convention center

JOPLIN, Mo. — An automated teller machine was stolen in a burglary at the Holiday Inn Convention Center in Joplin, according to the Joplin Police Department.

Someone broke into the center sometime between Friday and Wednesday and stole an ATM that contained about $4,000 in cash, according to a police report.

Police Lt. Brian Lewis said the burglar or burglars also caused about $2,500 worth of damage to a forklift inside the convention center.
