Three charged in meth cases after two raids

Joplin police seized items associated with the cooking of methamphetamine at two residences over the weekend, and three suspects were charged.

Officers responded Friday to a report of a meth lab in operation on South Murphy Avenue.

Police Cpl. Chuck Niess said waste materials for a “shake-and-bake” lab were seized, and two suspects were arrested. Niess said the person who lives at the location was not present and was not arrested. Charged with manufacturing a controlled substance were Jason D. Campbell, 37, and Kenneth H. Lingar, 48, both of Joplin.

Police used a knock-and-talk approach Sunday night at 2025 S. Cleveland Ave. to locate and seize another alleged meth lab, Niess said. Kendall J. Rogers, 45, and a second occupant of the address were arrested, but only Rogers was charged. He is facing felony counts of manufacturing and possessing meth.
