Joplin man tells police of being robbed of $300

A 51-year-old Joplin man reported being robbed Saturday night while he was walking on West Seventh Street near the Guitars nightclub.

Andrew J. Fecko told police that he was jumped by three men who assaulted him and stole $300 that he had in his possession. He told police that he took himself to a hospital for treatment.

Fecko did not report the matter to police until early Monday morning, and the matter remained under investigation Tuesday.
