Joplin man accused of felony assault against girlfriend



A 21-year-old Joplin man was charged with felony domestic assault after he allegedly choked his girlfriend during an argument at their home.

Police were called shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday to a home in the 2900 block of South Jackson Avenue and arrested Dylan D. Rapp. Police Cpl. Chuck Niess said Rapp is accused of choking Haley M. Smith, 21. Rapp was charged with second-degree domestic assault.
