JOPLIN, Mo. —
NEOSHO, Mo. — A short circuit in a washing machine was being blamed for a small fire Friday morning at a home in Neosho.
Capt. Brad Morris of the Neosho Fire Department said firefighters were called at 9:16 a.m. to the 1100 block of Stratford Place, where they found a small fire burning in a laundry room of a single-story home. Some clothes on top of the washing machine had caught on fire, he said. Firefighters were able to confine the fire to the laundry room.
Occupant Bryan Johnson was home at the time, but no injuries were reported, Morris said.
