Man robs bank; Joplin police search continues

Joplin police were looking for a man who about 3:30 p.m. Monday robbed the United Missouri Bank at 2106 S. Maiden Lane.

Police Cpl. Chuck Niess said a man wearing a white T-shirt and dark pants and a black do-rag on his head entered the bank and demanded money.

Niess said no weapon was observed by bank employees. The robber is believed to have light reddish or auburn-colored facial hair, he said.

No further information was available Monday night from police.
