Four motorists hurt in accidents on roads in area



Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 3:40 p.m. Thursday on Missouri Highway 59, a quarter-mile south of Neosho in Newton County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Drivers Raven D. Crosby, 16, of Neosho, and Christina L. Lane, 35, of Goodman, and a passenger in Lane’s vehicle, Darrell Lane, 48, were taken to Freeman Neosho Hospital, the state patrol said.

Both drivers were northbound when Crosby’s car ran into the rear of Lane’s pickup truck as Lane stopped to make a left turn, the patrol said.

• A Lanagan man was injured in a motorcycle accident at 5:40 a.m. Thursday on Missouri Highway 90, five miles east of Noel in McDonald County, the state patrol said.

Matthew W. Watkins, 25, was taken to Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Ark., the patrol said.

Watkins was riding an eastbound motorcycle that struck a deer, left the roadway and overturned, the patrol said.
