Fairview woman injured in accident

A Fairview woman was injured in a three-vehicle accident at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday on Missouri Highway 86, three miles north of Wheaton in Barry County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Lucille Taylor, 79, was taken to St. John’s Regional Health Center in Springfield, the state patrol said.

Taylor was a passenger in a northbound vehicle driven by Danny O. Taylor, 56, of Fairview.

That vehicle was stopped in traffic behind a dump truck driven by Jason Smith, 36, of Anderson, when a vehicle driven by Andrew G. Loyd, 19, of Wheaton, ran into the Taylor vehicle from behind, knocking it into the rear of the dump truck, the patrol said.
