Lone bandit robs Subway restaurant

JOPLIN, Mo. — Joplin police are looking for help in identifying a man who on Sunday night robbed the Subway store at 1820 W. 32nd St.

The man entered the fast-food restaurant shortly before 10 p.m., showed a clerk a handgun and demanded money. He left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police said the suspect was described as about 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a dark-colored ball cap, a dark jacket and blue jeans.
