From staff reports

— Two Carthage teenagers were injured in a one-vehicle accident at 7:25 p.m. Wednesday on Harmony Road, four miles east of Carthage in Jasper County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

The driver, Jason P. Liberty, 16, and his passenger, Desean A. Joseph, 17, were taken to Mercy McCune-Brooks Hospital in Carthage, the patrol said.

The northbound car ran off the ice-covered road and struck a tree, the patrol said.

• A Cassville resident was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday on Farm Road 1090, two miles west of Cassville in Barry County, the state patrol said.

Amber R. Hance, 18, was taken to Mercy Hospital Cassville, the patrol said.

Hance’s northbound pickup truck ran off the road, and struck a utility pole and a fence, the patrol said.

• Three people were injured in a four-vehicle accident at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday on Missouri Highway 37, two miles north of Cassville in Barry County, the state patrol said.

One of the drivers, Debora L. Raymer, 57, of Purdy, was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Cassville. A second driver, Jacquilyn A. Neely, 19, and her passenger, Brett J. Neely, 19, both of Pierce City, were taken by private vehicle to Cox Monett Hospital.

The patrol said a southbound car driven by Joshua T. Hill, 18, of Aurora, made a left turn and struck the side of Raymer’s northbound sport utility vehicle, causing that vehicle to skid into the southbound lane and strike vehicles driven by Neely and by Bryan R. Maxey, 28, of Monett. Maxey was not injured.

• A Joplin teenager was injured in a three-vehicle accident at 4:45 p.m. Monday on Range Line Road at 14th Street, according to the Joplin Police Department.

Hunter P. Barnes, 15, was taken to Freeman Hospital West, police said.

Barnes was a passenger in a southbound vehicle driven by Joseph K. Jones, 16, of Webb City, that was stopped in traffic when it was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Wesley T. Smith, 16, of Joplin.

Police said the crash pushed Jones’ vehicle into the rear of another stopped car driven by Kari Albrecht Earll, 38, of Festus.
