A Southwest City woman was injured in a one-car accident at 6:45 p.m.
Tuesday on Frye Road, a quarter-mile east of Southwest City in McDonald
County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The driver, Peggy Curtis, 59, was taken by helicopter to Mercy Hospital
Springfield with serious injuries, the patrol said.
The patrol said the eastbound vehicle ran off the road, struck two brick
fence posts, overturned and struck a utility pole. Curtis was thrown out of
the car.
