Neosho man hurt in traffic accident east of Seneca



A Neosho man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 3:15 p.m. Friday on U.S. Highway 60, two miles east of Seneca in Newton County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Seth A. Hance, 26, was taken by ambulance to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the patrol said.

Hance was driving a westbound car that ran into the rear of another car driven by Rachel N. Carey, 23, of Neosho, when Carey slowed for a dog in the roadway, the patrol said.

• A Joplin man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 12:20 p.m. Friday on 20th Street at Central City Road, two miles west of Joplin in Jasper County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Craig M. Gilmore, 23, was taken by ambulance to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the state patrol said.

Gilmore was driving a westbound pickup truck that collided with a southbound pickup truck driven by Travis B. Tyler, 30, of Joplin, when Tyler pulled into Gilmore’s path, the patrol said.
