Carthage police search for robber

JOPLIN, Mo. — Carthage police, members of the Jasper County Sheriff’s office and Missouri Highway Patrol searched for several hours late Wednesday for an armed man who robbed a Carthage liquor store.

Police said the robbery occurred at 9:17 p.m. at TC’s Liquor Store, 321 E. Airport. A black male  with a black and white bandana over his face reportedly walked into the store and demanded money. The robber left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The clerk was not injured, police said.

Capt. Randee Kaiser said security video of the suspect will be released later in the day. He was described being about 5 feet 8 inches tall, wearing a black hoodie, black pants and white shoes.
