Two women hurt in traffic accidents on roads in area

A Joplin woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 7:40 p.m. Monday on Missouri Highway 43, three miles south of Bronaugh in Barton County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Taylor N. Nelson, 18, was taken to Nevada Regional Medical Center in Nevada, the patrol said.

Nelson was driving a southbound vehicle that ran off the road and overturned, the patrol said.

• An Oklahoma woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 10:35 a.m. Friday at Interstate 44 and Highway 249, according to a Joplin Police Department report.

Andra S. Vandiver, 42, of Miami, was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the report said.

Vandiver’s vehicle was on the ramp to enter the westbound lanes of I-44 after being northbound on Highway 249 when her vehicle slid off the ramp into the ditch and rolled twice, the report said.
