Joplin police round up suspects in BB gun vandalism

JOPLIN, Mo. — Joplin police report having arrested three adults and detained two juveniles in connection with recent BB gun shootings of windows in vehicles, businesses and residences.

The adults charged with felony property damage were identified as Tanner Woody, 17; Mason Zuraw, 19; and Bradley Ferguson, 18. All three are from Joplin.

Police said in a news release today that they have received about 54 calls reporting damage to the windows of vehicles, businesses and residences since July 3, with most of the vandalism concentrated in the northwest quadrant of the city. About 80 percent of the calls involved vehicles.

The arrests and detentions were made over the weekend based on information developed from the reports of victims.
