Authorities seize items at store

— ANDERSON, Mo. — Agents with the Southwest Missouri Drug Task Force served a search warrant Tuesday at a convenience store in Anderson, seizing suspected synthetic drugs being sold as incense and bath salts and arresting a store clerk.

The McDonald County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release that the warrant was obtained after an undercover investigation developed probable cause that illegal synthetic drugs were being sold at the Mr. C’s store on Highway 59.

A 47-year-old female clerk was arrested on suspicion of distributing a controlled substance. No formal felony charge had been filed as of Wednesday.

Authorities said the incense and bath salts were being sent to a state crime lab for analysis and could result in future charges.
