Five people injured in area accidents

— A resident of Republic suffered serious injuries in an all-terrain vehicle accident at 9:15 p.m. Sunday on Route N, two miles west of Halltown in Lawrence County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Chad D. Wilson, 30, was flown by medical helicopter to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, the patrol said.

Wilson was driving a southbound four-wheeler that ran off the road and struck a fence and a tree, the patrol said.

• A Cassville man sustained serious injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 12:05 p.m. Monday on County Road 2150, two miles north of Cassville in Barry County, the patrol said.

Fredrick C. Chantell, 18, was flown by medical helicopter to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, the patrol said.

Chantell was driving a westbound GMC Suburban that ran off the road and struck a fence, overturned and hit a tree, the patrol said.

• A resident of Arkansas was injured in a motorcycle accident at 7 p.m. Sunday on Missouri Highway 90, one mile east of Noel in McDonald County, the patrol said.

Jacky Littlefield, 63, of Bentonville, Ark., was taken to Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Ark., the patrol said.

Littlefield was riding an eastbound motorcycle that ran off the road and struck a tree, throwing him from the bike, the patrol said.

• A woman from Girard, Kan., and her child were injured in a one-vehicle accident at 2:24 p.m. Monday on U.S. Highway 69, about a quarter-mile north of 630th Avenue, according to the Crawford County (Kan.) Sheriff’s Department.

The driver of the car, Michelle Stevens, 38, and her passenger, Peerin Stevens, 4, were taken by ambulance to Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, Kan., the sheriff’s department said.

Their southbound car ran off the road into a ditch and rolled before coming to rest on its wheels, the sheriff’s department said.
