Joplin man faces assault charge

Joplin police arrested a 33-year-old man Monday night on a felony charge of domestic assault after a disturbance at Sixth Street and Porter Avenue.

Officers who were called to that location at 9:26 p.m. found Crystal G. Eubanks, 33, with injuries from an alleged assault. Eubanks told officers that her boyfriend, Manuel E. Davis, had choked her and punched her four times in the face.

Davis was arrested later and charged with second-degree domestic assault. Eubanks declined medical attention for her injuries, according to police.
