Missouri men charged in theft of pipe, wire

COLUMBUS, Kan. — Two Missouri men are being held in the Cherokee County Jail on charges of stealing copper piping and wiring from a vacant house in Columbus.

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department said Scott Fuller, 30, of Carl Junction, Mo., and Casey Caudle, 29, of Joplin, were stopped Tuesday near Crestline after a report of a suspicious vehicle leaving property in Columbus.

The sheriff’s office said a search warrant was obtained and executed on the suspects’ Honda Accord, and suspected stolen piping and wiring were seized.

Fuller and Caudle are charged with burglary and theft, and are being held on $15,000 bonds.
