A Purdy resident was injured in a two-vehicle accident about 7:40 a.m. Wednesday on Highway 86, just north of the Wheaton city limits in Barry County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The patrol reported that Daniel D. Dunegan, 63, driver of a southbound car, was taken to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.

The patrol said Dunegan made a left turn, and his vehicle and a northbound vehicle driven by Daniel A. Boyd, 29, of Fairview, collided.
