Felony drug charges filed in two cases

Felony drug charges have been filed against suspects arrested in separate incidents Monday at the Motel 6 and a Vintage Stock store in Joplin.

Police Lt. Charla Geller said an officer responding to concerns about the well being of a guest of the motel at 3031 S. Range Line Road arrested Julynda D. Flores, 29, of Seneca, in connection with possession of methamphetamine.

Geller said police were called to the Vintage Stock store at 3120 S. Main St. Monday night when an employee came across a little more than four ounces of marijuana in a bag left in a restroom of the store.

Thomas A. Cantrell, 23, of Carl Junction, another employee of the store, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute.
