Deputies looking for truck involved in storage burglary

Jasper County sheriff’s deputies are looking for a white Chevrolet pickup truck that was involved in a March 30 burglary of several storage units near Sarcoxie.

Miscellaneous property was stolen in the burglary at Space Maker Storage, 4148 Blackberry Road, including large collections of Precious Moments figurines and Hot Wheels cars. The items were loaded into the bed of a late 1990s or early 2000s model Chevy truck and a trailer.

The sheriff’s office sought assistance Tuesday in solving the crime by releasing surveillance photos of the truck and trailer to area media. Those photos may be viewed on the Globe’s website. The truck is a single-cab model with a long bed, and the trailer has white wheels and wooden sideboards.

Authorities are asking that anyone with information about the burglary call the sheriff’s office at 417-358-8177, ext. 1298, or the TIPS line at 417-358-8477 to leave anonymous information.
