A Lamar man died of injuries sustained in a single-vehicle accident at 10:05 p.m. Thursday on Route T, four miles southeast of Lamar in Barton County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Chance H. Kentner, 21, was flown by medical helicopter to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin where he was pronounced dead at 12:17 a.m. Friday, the state patrol said.
Kentner was driving a northbound vehicle that skidded off the road and overturned, throwing him from the vehicle, the patrol said.
• A resident of Grove, Okla., was killed in a single-vehicle accident at 5:27 p.m. Thursday on Oklahoma Highway 10, a half-mile east of Welch in Craig County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Rickey E. Zube, 49, who was pinned in the wreckage for about 45 minutes, was pronounced dead at the scene, the state patrol said.
The patrol said Zube was driving an eastbound box truck that ran off the roadway and down an embankment before rolling onto the driver’s side of the vehicle and striking a fence and a tree.
• A resident of Purdy was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 12:45 p.m. Friday on Farm Road 1090, three miles south of Monett in Barry County, the state patrol said.
Georgia L. Denney, 75, was taken to Cox Monett Hospital, the patrol said.
She was driving a southbound vehicle that ran off the road and struck a utility pole and fence, the patrol said.
• A Neosho man was injured in a motorcycle accident at 11:04 p.m. Thursday on Missouri Highway 175, a mile north of Neosho in Newton County, the state patrol said.
Jonathan E. Venter, 37, was taken to Freeman Neosho Hospital, the patrol said.
He was riding a southbound motorcycle that struck a deer in the roadway.
