Miami man hospitalized after shooting on Sunday

MIAMI, Okla. — A Grove man is in custody and a Miami man is in a Joplin hospital after a shooting in Miami on Sunday.

According to a report by the Miami Police Department, Stoney Sisco, 215 J St., NW was shot several times in his back and legs in an altercation at his home about 12:45 p.m. on Sunday.

Police said Noah Shields, of Grove, had gone to Sisco’s home looking for his wife and daughter. After Sisco told Shields the wife and daughter were not at the residence, police said Shields got a shotgun from his car, kicked in Sisco’s door and shot the victim several times.

Shields was arrested about 5 p.m. in Montgomery County, Kan. Police said the shotgun was recovered from his vehicle.
