Three motorists hurt in accident on Highway 60

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 8:50 a.m. Wednesday on U.S. Highway 60 in Neosho in Newton County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Susie J. Murphy, 53, of Neosho, driver of one of the vehicles, was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the patrol said. Bobby F. Hudson, 56, of Springfield, driver of the other vehicle, and passenger Verla Geller, 75, of Neosho, also were taken to Freeman West in Joplin.

Murphy attempted to make a left turn onto Cemetery Road, and her vehicle was hit by the Hudson vehicle, the patrol said.
