Oklahoma man’s death termed suicide

— The death of an Oklahoma man whose body was discovered Friday inside a Joplin motel room has been ruled a suicide.

Police said an employee of the Sunrise Inn discovered Brian A. Vierra, 48, of Grove, deceased inside a room of the motel at 3600 S. Range Line Road about 12:30 p.m. Friday.

Vierra died of a self-inflicted shotgun wound, according to Newton County Coroner Mark Bridges. Bridges said he was ruling the death a suicide.
