2-year-old girl struck by vehicle

PITTSBURG, Kan. — A 2-year-old girl was flown to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City after being struck by a car Wednesday morning in the 400 block of West Ninth Street in Pittsburg.

The Pittsburg Police Department said Winter Dinneen apparently ran in front of a westbound car driven by Tyler D. Prussing, 23, of Pittsburg. Prussing told police that he was traveling about 20 mph but was unable to stop in time.

The girl was taken by ambulance to Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg before being flown by medical helicopter to the hospital in Kansas City.
