Joplin police are investigating an assault that sent a Joplin woman to the hospital Friday with four stab wounds.
Cpl. Chuck Niess said Kristyn N. Ryan-Samaco, 21, was treated in the emergency room of Freeman Hospital West for stab wounds suffered in an altercation with another woman at a home on South Geneva Avenue.
Niess said Ryan-Samaco was stabbed in her chest and side, but her wounds were not considered to be life-threatening. Officers had yet to locate her assailant by Monday afternoon, Niess said.
