Country club, pool concession hit by burglars

Joplin police are investigating weekend burglaries at Twin Hills Golf and Country Club, and the concession stand at the Ewert Park pool.

Police Lt. Matt Stewart said someone forced open the door to the pro shop at Twin Hills, 2019 S. Country Club Drive, sometime between 2:15 and 3 a.m. Sunday and stole undisclosed amounts of cash from two offices.

A lock was cut off a safe in one of the offices.

Stewart said someone pried open a protective grating to gain entry to the concession stand of the pool in Ewert Park early Saturday morning. An empty cash register was stolen.
