A Parsons, Kan., man was killed in a single-vehicle accident early Saturday morning on Barton County Road 165, five miles west of Lamar, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The patrol identified the victim as Timothy S. Clark, 33.
Clark’s westbound vehicle ran off the road two times before overturning and throwing the driver out, according to the patrol.
• Three people were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 5:55 a.m. Saturday on Iris Road, about five miles north of Seneca in Newton County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The driver, James M. Lewis, 18, of Seneca, sustained minor injuries but declined medical treatment at the scene, the patrol said.
His passengers, Whitney N. Claycomb, 18, of Seneca, and Jordan S. Snyder, 17, of Pierce City, were both taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the patrol said.
The patrol said Lewis’ eastbound vehicle ran off the road and hit a fence before overturning.
• A Wentworth man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 6:40 p.m. Friday on Lawrence County Road 2220, three miles west of Verona, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Brett W. Falls, 46, was taken by ambulance to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield with minor injuries, the patrol said.
The other driver, April L. Perkins, 29, of Mount Vernon, was not injured, the patrol said.
The patrol said Falls’ westbound vehicle crossed the center line and hit Perkins’ eastbound vehicle head-on.
