Three minors seriously injured in Friday night accident

NEVADA, Mo. — Three Vernon County minors were seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident at 10:45 p.m. Friday one mile west of Nevada on Minie Ball Road, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

An eastbound truck driven by Trevor L. Taylor, 17, Nevada, ran off the right side of the road and overturned, the patrol reported.

Taylor was listed as uninjured, but Dylon X. Heiserman, 14, of Milo; Bradly D. Woods, 11, of Nevada; and Bradyn A. Woods, 14, of Nevada, all sustained serious injuries, according to the patrol. Heiserman was taken by private vehicle to Nevada Regional Medical Center, Nevada, while Bradly and Bradyn Woods were both taken by air ambulance to Children’s Mercy in Kansas City.
