Arvest Bank robbed in Monett

MONETT, Mo. — Police have released surveillance photos of a man who this morning robbed the Arvest Bank in Monett.

The suspect, who appeared to be about 40 years old, entered the bank about 10:49 a.m., handed a teller a note and left on foot with money he had placed in a black bag. The teller believed he had a gun in the bag, according to Monett police.

The robber was wearing a blue stocking cap, a dark-green, zippered sweatshirt with the hood pulled up and blue jeans. He headed west from the bank at 100 E. Broadway St. Poice said it was unknown if he got into a vehicle.
