NEVADA, Mo. — A 33-year-old man has been charged in connection with a break-in and assault Tuesday night in the 700 block of West Allison Street in Nevada.
Police said Daniel C. Crosby, of Nevada, was arrested a short time after a break-in in which he allegedly assaulted a female acquaintance.
Crosby forced entry through a window at the back of a residence and began hitting the woman with his fists until a friend came to her aid and forced him to run, police said. Responding officers arrested Crosby near the intersection of Arch and Elizabeth streets.
He was charged with first-degree burglary and misdemeanor counts of domestic assault and property damage.
