Driver injured in car accident close to Jasper

A 21-year-old man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 1 a.m. Thursday on County Road 220 at the junction with Route M, four miles southwest of Jasper in Jasper County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Ryan P. Lassister, of Jasper, was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the state patrol said.

Lassister was driving a southbound car that ran off the road, struck an embankment and rolled several times when he failed to stop at the T-intersection, the patrol said.
