Sarcoxie woman dies in accident east of Diamond

CASSVILLE, Mo. —

A Sarcoxie woman was killed in a single-vehicle accident at 7:29 p.m. Friday on Aspen Road, three miles east of Diamond in Newton County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Joua Lor, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene by a deputy coroner.

The patrol said Lor’s eastbound vehicle ran off the road before hitting a ditch and overturning. Lor was thrown out of the vehicle, the patrol said.

• Two Goodman women were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 11:45 a.m. Saturday on state Highway 59, a mile north of Goodman in Newton County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The drivers of each of the vehicles, Ramona J. Lawson, 53, and Shelly L. Dollar, 35, were taken by ambulance to Freeman Hospital in Neosho with minor injuries, the patrol said.

The patrol said the two vehicles crashed as one was stopped on the highway to turn.
