Pittsburg police make arrests in two robberies



PITTSBURG, Kan. — Police have arrested a juvenile and an adult in connection with recent robberies of a Casey’s General Store and the Dillons Food Store in Pittsburg.

A 14-year-old boy was charged Thursday with two counts of aggravated robbery. Police believe he was the armed robber of the Casey’s convenience store at 434 W. Fourth St. the night of March 9 and the Dillons grocery store at 2600 North Broadway on Tuesday night.

Officers also arrested Raul Gonzalez, 18, of Pittsburg, in connection with the investigation of the robberies and charged him with possession of stolen property, and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
