NEOSHO, Mo. — Newton County sheriff’s deputies served a search warrant Monday on a residence in Neosho and seized components of an alleged shake-and-bake methamphetamine lab.

Two men were arrested when the warrant was served at 510 Benham Ave. Chief Deputy Chris Jennings said Brian Lewis, 37, was charged with manufacturing a controlled substance, and a 32-year-old man was charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Lewis remained in custody Tuesday at the Newton County Jail with bond set at $50,000. The other man was issued a court summons and was released.
